AMNH - Bones & Butterflies

Alice and Sarah spent the morning at the American Museum of Natural History on Tuesday. We had so much fun. Alice liked the dinosaur bones - "Just like in the book!"
We received special tickets from Mimi's friend Rose/Susan (Thanks so much!) and we used them to get into the special butterfly exhibit. Alice is looking at a huge moth in this photo. Can you see it too?
Bunny went everywhere with us. She didn't need a ticket.
We had a fun visit with Audrey, Jethro, Gavi and Ami (as well as Aud's cousin) at the museum, too.
Ami wondered how he ended up in the tropical forest (it was really hot and humid in the exhibit).
This butterfly from India looks exactly like a brown leaf. With legs. And antennae. Balanced upright on an orange slice. Cool!

Alice was not particularly pleased when a butterfly landed on her leg and decided to hang out there for a while. A museum volunteer finally coaxed it away. Alice and Sarah give the butterfly exhibit an "it's so pretty!" rating of two thumbs up.
