1st Art Class

Here's AC and Dad pausing for a photo as we headed out to our first art class as a family. AC had a great time at "Art for Tots" at the Noguchi Museum. She wore a belt and rainbow leg-warmers to mark the occasion, as well as her shirt with the blue and red horsies. Some people thought she was a boy, but she didn't seem to care. (Her name tag, "white rectangle" in toddler-speak, was on the back of her sweater.) At art class, we learned about parts and wholes, made sculptures out of beads, pipe cleaners and wooden spools, and looked at Isamu Noguchi's stone sculptures. AC counted the parts that made up the wholes and remarked that one sculpture looked like a triangle. We also played peek-a-boo with some of the sculptures. A fun time was had by all.
