Rosh Hashanah visits

Fun with Nana and Aunt Wendy in Fair Lawn."Alice is flagging!"
Saba surprised us at the playground.
Multitasking: flagging AND swinging.
Chocolate milk is the new beverage of choice.
Nana likes to flag, too.
We are all smiling at the same time! This photo has a bit of a romantic soft-glow quality.
Almost all smiling.
Alice is the calm at the center of this action-packed shot at the Hall of Science.
Simon is wondering what to cook for dinner in the play kitchen.
Rapports three.

Visiting with Chuck and Yuko

Chuck relaxes in his colorful mismatched socks, which compliment the hues in Alice's kitchen set.Chuck and Yuko brought Alice a present - custom made flags!
An artist at work - Chuck loves flags as much as Alice!

Trying to get some work done ...?

After taking Alice to the park, I tried to grade a few exams. She decided it might be a better idea to draw with the red pen.

I moved out to the "master bedroom" (né "living room") but Alice decided to rejoin me. Somewhere along the way Alice lost her clothes (and found some hairclips).

Are You In? Okaaaay, bye.

Alice has a very well-equipped kitchen. Here she is buzzing someone in through the front door downstairs. (She sometimes asks, "did it work? did it work? okay, bye.")

favorite tunes

I tried playing records by Paul Simon and Carole King for Alice, to which she always responded, "You don't like it!" So now we play her current favorites, including "Ambient #4 - On Land" by Brian Eno, "Revenge" by The Flying Luttenbachers, "Relics" by DMZ, and The Jimmy Castor Bunch's "Phase Two"...The Flying Luttenbachers record jacket is fluorescent pink with an angry robot on the cover - that one gets carried around the apartment. (Evan says, "How do you know the robot's angry?") With respect to "Phase Two," Alice likes to say, "He looks happy. He's wearing red. He's jumping!"
