Blake's visit made a very big impression on AC. A conversation that we had today over lunch:
AC: "Baby toys!"
Me: "Who plays with baby toys?"
AC: "Baby Blake!"
Me: "Do you love baby Blake?"
AC: "Soooo much!"

Blake came to visit!
We had a great time visiting with Blake on Thursday. AC has been talking about "baby Blake" every day since. They had a great time playing with the toy kitchen and soft blocks, and eating matzo ball soup together.
Funny Faces
Some recent "funny face" drawings. The second drawing is a representation of three pigs. Can you see the faces on the pigs?

AC is practicing her pronouns. She likes to say "on my rough cheek" and then she gives Daddy a kiss on his scratchy face. When Dad was helping her up the stairs this week, she told him, "I wanna do it yourself!"

tidbits
Last night Nana and Saba called to say "Shabbat Shalom" to AC. She replied, "You're talkin' 'bout Hebrew!" Laughs all around. Baby Simon is scheduled to come for a visit tomorrow, along with Aunt Wendy. Maybe we can talk more about Hebrew then. Today AC is off to art class at the Noguchi Museum and a run in the grass at Socrates Sculpture Park with Dad. Perhaps they'll lunch at BelAir Diner afterwards. Mom is alone in the apartment--reading the paper, drinking tea and listening to music--generally feeling like a real grown up!
